I have been using motor oil for chain lube for 40 years, it ok but didn’t protect the chain for any lenght of time. This product lubricates and protects your chain for an entire year under normal road use. If you are an avid mountain/off road biker, more applications would be recommended.

I won my first bike race in 1977 (unfortunately, I haven’t won any since). Point is that I have been lubing for a long time. This lube is without a doubt the thickest and stickiest lube that I have ever used. It gummed up my jockey wheels very quickly to the point where the bike wouldn’t shift properly. I won’t use it anymore. Maybe it’s better for people who are constantly riding in the wet. I do despise to bash a product, but what am I supposed to say?

Very excellent product. Came in two 2 oz. bottles, not one 4-ounce bottle, but that’s fine. The oil itself is high quality, thin, but not watery. After oiling the chain link by link, there was practically no wipe-up – the oil was absorbed quickly and completely into the rivets. With a weekly oiling, I expect the 4 ounces to last the better part of a year or more. Excellent value.
