I bought this tool when I bought my bike.I have owned and used this tool since about the second week of June 08.

I have used it to transform my Kona Fire Mountain bicycle into a Xtracycle.

The only other tool I needed was a cable cutter, since then, I have used it for just about all my maintenance needs. My only concern is that some places and areas it is a small tight fitting the tool in and getting enough torque, tightening the kickstand bolt comes to mind.

All in all a pretty excellent tool.

I have been very impressed with this tool. I have used it to perform maintenance and upgrades on my bike and used it trailside for repairs. It is vital to remeber that the center aluminum piece that is used for chains etc. be kept in which ever side you are using to help it maintain rigidty. That is the only way it can hold up to torque when tightening or loosening. Every item in this compact tool is useful and usable. I did not rate at five stars because it is a small bulky but, I guess that is what you get when you have so many compact tools combined into one.

I really liked this tool at first. Seemed to have everything I’d need for quick trailside repairs in a nice compact package. All was well for about one month, until I used the chain tool. First time I used the chain tool it broke. The metal for the “teeth” seemed too soft and simply broke off, making the chain tool useless. Fortunately this happened in my garage, not on some trail miles from nowhere.

Things like this really piss me off. Its essentaily a tool for emergency use, but what excellent is it if it isn’t reliable? I’ll probably still keep this with me for a while, just bring along a seperate chain tool, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
